Biography

Kristi was a 3 year all league, all section, all state player for Putnam Valley High school from 2002-2005. She led the PV tigers to their first league title, NY state top 20 ranking, a number 1 playoff seed, and county center appearance, finishing her career averaging over 23 ppg and scoring 1396 career points in only 3 years of Varsity basketball. Kristi was a Con-Edison award winner and ended her high school career receiving the Isabel Costa Award given to the player of the year and best player in all of section 1. Kristi also participated in the Empire state games winning a gold and silver medal on the scholastic team and returning in college to win a gold on the open. She was heavily recruited and went on a full scholarship to Boston University. Her senior year in 2009 she was the second leading scorer on a team that finished the best ever in program history with a record of 24- 6 including and undefeated regular conference season in the America East. 

 

She finished #1 in the nation for 3 point shooting averaging almost 4 a game breaking at over 40% breaking both BU’s career record, BU's single season record, and the America East conference season record. Kristi played professionally in Germany on a D1 team for a season where her team finished with the bronze metal. Kristi coached the Hudson Valley girls BCANY games for four years where they won two silver metals and a gold. Kristi was the head varsity coach for Somers HS 2012-2016. During her second year at Somers Kristi lead her team to an undefeated league and first league championship since 1988. Kristi was also named Coach of the Year. In her 4th season she led the Tuskers to the best record and season in program history for both boys and girls basketball, finishing 19-3, NY state top 20 ranking for class A, MSG varsity and Lohud top 10 ranking, #2 class a playoff seed, their second league championship in three years, and was awarded her second coach of the year in 3 years. Kristi then went to Putnam Valley who she also took in her 2nd year to the best season in school history, two more coach of the year awards, two 20+ win seasons in the last three years, lohud section 1 top 10, NY State top 20. Dini starts her 4th season as PV head coach.

Johanna McNelis

Biography

Johanna was a varsity player for 4 years at Rye Neck High school. She still currently holds the all time leading scoring record for both men’s and women’s basketball in Rye Neck History at a total of 1407 points. She scored her 1,000th point at the County Center in her junior year, Rye Neck’s first appearance in the County Center in a number of years. Johanna continued her career at University of Rochester, making the team as a freshman recruit and competing all 4 years. She made an appearance in every single game all-4 years, 112 games, and assisted the team in an overall 4-year record of 88-24.  Her team went to the Sweet 16 3 years in a row and an Elite 8 in her senior year. Johanna has continued her contribution to basketball as a 3-year coach of youth girl’s basketball in Westport, Connecticut. Johanna currently works for Performance Physical Therapy and is excited to be apart pf NY Extreme Hoops.

Michael Chmielowiec

Coach and Trainer

Biography

At Batavia High School Mike was an all state player and finished his career with 1,372 points, which is the third highest in school history. He went on to player college basketball for Rochester University where he had an amazing career. At Rochester he finished his career with 1,154 points, which was the13th all-time in school history. In 2009 he averaged 21.3 ppg (7th all-time in school history), made 144 3pt field goals (9th all-time in school history). Led team in scoring in sophomore year averaging 12.4 ppg and senior year averaging 21.3 ppg. As a senior Mike was named 2nd Team All-American, 1st Team All-East Region, 1st Team All-UAA and led League in scoring at 23.6 ppg. In his four years he Compiled a team record of 72-32 and two NCAA Tournament Appearances including a sweet 16 appearance in 2008.

Nadi Be

Biography

Nadi was a four year varsity basketball player at Bergen Catholic High School. For his career he totaled 1,017 points, which ranks 11th all-time in Bergen Catholic school history. His senior year he helped the Crusaders to a 20-5 record, while averaging 18.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.  His performance as a senior, in 2013-14, earned him All-North Jersey and All-Bergen First-Team honors from The Record.  He was also an Honorable Mention All-New Jersey selection by MSG Varsity.  He went on to play Division I college basketball at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Bri Celaj

Biography

Coach Bri was a four-year varsity basketball player at Briarcliff High School.  She was an All-League player as a sophomore and an All-League, All-Section, All-State player during her junior year.  She was the team captain as a junior and senior.  She went on to play college basketball at Pace University and majored in Sports Marketing.  For the last few years, Coach Bri has been working with Maggie Vision Productions where she has been a part of putting together live events that include NFL Honors and the ESPY Awards.
